Privacy policy

Local processing, website connections and the information you choose to share. Effective 27 October 2026.

Who operates AAAudits Pro

AAAudits Pro is developed by Andrew Kennedy. Contact hello@andrewkennedydev.com with questions about this policy or information you have sent for support.

This policy explains the app’s data handling, the product/support pages on andrewkennedydev.com, and support correspondence. Effective date: 27 October 2026.

Project data stays on your Mac

Projects, audit findings, test cases, screenshots, replay videos, review notes and recovery files are stored locally in the application’s storage. The app does not provide a developer-operated cloud audit service or automatically upload your audit results to Andrew Kennedy.

You choose whether and where to export or share reports and evidence. The Mac App Store edition stores its library in its own application container, separately from the direct-download edition. Copies may also be included in backups configured by you or macOS.

Local storage is not a promise of anonymity or a separate encrypted vault. Access depends on your Mac account, operating-system protections and any disk encryption or backup arrangements you use.

Requests to websites you test

Auditing, performance measurement, link checking, replay and Bug Finder can contact the website you select and its resources. Those services may receive your network/IP address, requested URLs, normal browser headers and relevant session information. Repeated measurements and HTTP probes can make additional requests.

The tested website may load its own cookies, scripts, analytics and third-party resources. Those services handle information under their own policies. Visiting a live website is not entirely offline or necessarily anonymous. Only test sites and accounts you are authorised to use.

Test-account credentials and sessions

The optional Test login workflow is intended for dedicated test accounts and synthetic data. Entered usernames and passwords remain in application memory for the app session; they are not saved as project/report credentials. Login settings such as the login URL and selectors can be saved separately.

Credentials are supplied to the selected website to perform your requested login. Authenticated browser state and supported matching session cookies can be used during the audit and related checks. Credentials and cookies are not included in recovery checkpoints. You can forget entered credentials in the Test login interface.

The app cannot verify that an account has safe privileges or contains only synthetic data. Do not use real customer accounts, production credentials or accounts with access to real personal data.

Captured evidence can contain sensitive content

Screenshots, observed HTML, URLs, test evidence, replay video, manually entered notes and report exports can contain personal, confidential or otherwise sensitive website content. Supported redaction is not a guarantee that every sensitive value is removed. Review all evidence before sharing.

Screen-video recording is initiated by you and requires macOS permission. Recordings are used as local testing evidence. Supported automatic step capture excludes typed values and credentials, but visible page content, URL paths and handwritten notes can still expose information.

If you export or share files, you control the destination and recipients. Their copies and the destination service’s data handling are outside the app’s local storage.

Analytics, advertising and app updates

The app does not include developer analytics, advertising or cross-app tracking. No hosted audit account or third-party audit API key is required.

The Mac App Store edition receives app updates through Apple and has no separate developer-operated updater. Apple handles purchases, downloads, refunds and platform services under its own policies. App data and support messages are not automatically sent to Apple by the developer.

The direct-download edition uses a separate update workflow. If a configured update check is available and requested, it connects to its configured HTTPS update host; manual downloads contact the website hosting the file. Update requests do not require uploading audit evidence.

Retention and deletion

Local projects and evidence remain on your Mac until you delete them. Deleting a project through the app removes its associated stored records, evidence and recovery data. Saved test cases and Bug Finder sessions can also be deleted through their workspaces.

Deleting an original project does not delete exported reports, files already shared with others or independently maintained backups. Review those destinations separately. Uninstalling or changing editions should not be assumed to remove every export or backup.

Information you send for support

If you email the developer, the developer receives your email address, message and any information or attachments you choose to send. This information is used to respond, investigate the issue and manage the support enquiry. Please send only what is necessary and use synthetic or redacted examples.

Support emails and attachments are deleted within six months after an enquiry closes, unless needed for an ongoing issue or a legal obligation. You can contact the developer to request access, correction or deletion of information you have sent; the response depends on what is held and any applicable retention obligations.

Hostinger provides the website hosting and support mailbox. Email and hosting providers process information needed to deliver those services; provider-managed logs, backups and delivery processing follow their service practices. No fixed server-log retention period is asserted here.

Demo and App Store information

The free demo can request App Store product information from Apple’s iTunes lookup service, using the full app’s bundle identifier and storefront country code. Apple receives the normal network information needed to handle that request, including your IP address. Audit results, captured evidence and website login credentials are not included in this product-information request.

Following a purchase link opens Apple’s service. The full Mac App Store edition is currently in review; Apple’s privacy policy applies to its services and purchases.

These product pages

The AAAudits Pro marketing, support and privacy pages do not include analytics, advertising scripts or embedded third-party media players. Shared portfolio styling requests fonts from Google Fonts; that service receives the normal information involved in delivering a font, including your network address.

The website uses browser local storage to remember your light/dark display preference and accessible-version setting. These preferences are used on your device and are not audit results or an advertising identifier. Hostinger can process normal web-server access logs to deliver and secure the site.

Links to Apple, other websites or email open external services. Their policies apply after you follow them.

The portfolio also remembers your motion preference locally on your device. The GSAP and Lenis libraries used for visual transitions are served from this website; they do not require an account or receive audit evidence.

Policy changes and contact

This policy will be updated if the app or service changes its data handling. The date at the top records the current version. Material changes should be reviewed before using a new service or sharing further information.
