PROJECT / REALTIME VISUAL ENGINE

A/B Tekniq VFX

A visual instrument driven by the mixed programme feed: procedural scenes, musical sequencing, and planned-set video rendering.

Available on macOS · Integrated visuals and planned-set video export are included in the released Mac App Store version 1.1.0. The iPad version is currently under review.

From sound to stage

The integrated Visuals workspace responds to the audible mix. It combines procedural graphics, optional text and silent local video backgrounds in portrait or landscape presentation, with a preview available in Performance.

23 visual directions

Cosmic sits alongside 22 selectable procedural modules. The catalogue includes Neon Pulse, Wave Terrain, Particle Storm, Kaleido Reactor, Warehouse, Data Flux, Aurora Flow, Circuit Breaker, Collision Balls, Beat Blocks 3D, Alien Dance, Gravitational Lens, Plasma Bloom, Lava Flow, Prism Storm, Sonic Loom, Flux Core, Hex Panels, Shockwave, Storm Skies, Vinyl Fleet and Disco Lights.

Performance controls

Visual response can be shaped as part of the musical performance.

Map the music

Eight frequency bands, gain up to 200%, smoothing and global or per-style overrides control the response. Band energy is not isolated-instrument detection.

Sequence the styles

Switch or crossfade styles on 4, 8, 16 or 32-bar intervals, with saved settings and sequence choices.

Add context

Track announcements display number, artist and title when a track becomes audible. Custom words and phrases support text-driven treatments.

Compose the background

Sequence up to ten silent local video clips with independent visibility and effects opacity. Relink missing clips when necessary.

Choose the stage

9:16 portrait and 16:9 landscape layouts support social and stage formats. Presentation and external-display behaviour still require platform-specific acceptance.

Rendering architecture

Metal renderers share visual-analysis and renderer modules with related Visual Lab development. Graphics analysis stays away from the realtime audio callback; visual-analysis lag is reported separately from playback. A companion capability alone is not proof that it is exposed by the integrated app.

Planned Set → shareable movie

The integrated export workflow renders the planned mix audio, then the visual movie. It uses the chosen visual sequence, text overlays and background video.

Output

30 fps H.264 MP4 with AAC audio. Social and HQ presets include 1080×1920 portrait and 1920×1080 landscape; compact portrait is 720×1280.

Range and control

Export the whole planned Set or its first 30, 60 or 180 seconds. Fast/Cool modes, stage progress, elapsed time and cancellation make long jobs inspectable.

Quality distinction

Some social presets shade at lower resolution and reconstruct the output; HQ requests native output-pixel rendering. Resolution alone does not describe shading quality.

Comfort and acceptance

Freeze, reduce-flashing controls and supported system motion preferences help manage visual intensity. They do not guarantee suitability for every photosensitive viewer. This is planned-set rendering rather than recording an improvised performance; universal 60 fps, minimum-device thermal behaviour and hour-long export throughput are not established guarantees.
