PROJECT / AUGMENTED REALITY & GAME DEVELOPMENT
Country Clash
Big personalities. Small fighters. Your world becomes the ring. Countryball characters face off in an augmented-reality kickboxing game that brings playful combat into everyday spaces.
In development · AR gameplay prototype and evolving game systems. Public release details to follow.
GAMEPLAY PROTOTYPE
Take the fight outside the screen.
Supplied mobile captures show Canada and USA countryball fighters in a real-world AR ring, with touch controls, health bars, a round timer and strike feedback.

Countryball fighters overlaid on a paved surface, with a circular arena boundary and a front-kick hit indicator.

A world of character.
National flags become expressive spherical fighters. These supplied illustrations explore character personality and app identity; they are concept artwork rather than gameplay captures.
The game idea
Country Clash takes the countryball character format into short, readable AR bouts. The wider design connects exploration, encounters, combat and progression: discover opponents, enter the ring, earn rewards and develop a roster of fighters.
The technical design targets a roster of 195 nations and progression to level 60. Those are design goals, rather than a claim that the complete roster and progression experience are released.
Readable combat in a real-world ring
The gameplay captures show a compact control vocabulary: movement on the left, with Block, Punch and Kick on the right. Health, round time and floating strike feedback keep the bout legible without covering the fighters.
Timing, spacing and stamina
The specification separates fighter energy from action stamina, and sets out timed rounds, technique unlocks and a momentum-pip system. Attacks and defence are designed around readable openings rather than repeated button presses.
AR with a fallback path
The design calls for surface-anchored rings, room-scale viewing and a paused match when tracking is interrupted. A non-AR arena is planned to preserve the bout when camera tracking cannot recover.
From native prototype to game service
The local Global Conquest project contains the earlier native foundation: SwiftUI screens, observable game state, RealityKit scenes and Metal character shading. Its category-based battle prototype is distinct from the newer Country Clash AR kickboxing direction shown in the supplied captures.
Server-owned progression
A Laravel REST/JSON API and MySQL backend separate account progression and rewards from the client presentation. Documented systems include fighter records, balances, inventory, encounter services and repeat-safe match settlement.
Identity and transaction boundaries
The backend includes documented Apple and Game Center authentication paths, signed match-result handling and StoreKit transaction verification. Client integration and live-service validation remain part of delivery work.
Documented verification
The backend specification records 101 tests across SQLite and MySQL. This is project-recorded evidence, not a new test run performed for the portfolio.
A wider world to build
The roadmap extends beyond the ring into GPS-based encounters, collectible chests, milestone rewards and a reserve-XP economy. Distinct combat archetypes, spatial audio and haptic feedback are part of the design direction.
Alliances, seasonal arena competition, purchases and synchronous multiplayer are tracked separately. In particular, real-time PvP networking remains backlog work; the portfolio does not present it as a completed feature.
Development status
The current story is a game in development: supplied AR prototype captures, a native rendering foundation, a detailed version 1.6 game-design specification and a separately tracked backend. The Google Workspace sprint tracker distinguishes client work, implemented service work and outstanding integration.
No public installer or App Store link is included here. Future release details will be added when there is a distributable build.
